Since then, cheese became a vital element of the Mediterranean culture and civilization. Feta cheese- Protected Designation of Origin-, a global brand and favorite, is having its own journey throughout the world, entering the kitchens of star chefs and casual local cuisines. Today, over 65 different types of cheese are to be found in different parts of the country, all reflecting the local culinary and cultural peculiarities, as well as social and culinary evolution.
